“The Atlanta Tipoff Club was stunned to hear of the passing of Anne Donovan. She had the distinction of being the first woman to win the Naismith College Player of the Year Award in 1983, and later was named the Naismith Outstanding Contributor to Women’s Basketball award winner. She was an active participant in our organization over the years, truly one of our most ardent supporters. We join the women’s basketball community in mourning her passing, but also celebrating her remarkable life.”
